Emerging artist Yukimasa Ida will be participating at the 4th annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala.
The 4th foundation gala will be hosted late July, in Domaine Bertaud Belieu Vineyard, St. Tropez, France. Donations made by 103 artists such as Cecily Brown, Damien Hirst, Tom Sachs, also includes 4 artists from Japan, Kazumi Nakamura, Team Lab, Takuro Kubota and Yukimasa Ida. Ida will be participating as the most youngest in the LDF history, and will be donating a 2590×1940mm portrait of Leonardo DiCaprio, which was commissioned by the LDF.
Simon de Pury, also know as “the Mic Jagger of art auctions” for his exciting style of auctioneering, has taken post as the auctioneer.
The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation also plans to hold an online auction starting this year, for art collectors worldwide to bid, from July 27th to August 23rd. Yukimasa Ida will be donating one large painting and one sculptural piece to the auctionThe artworks that are going under the hammer will be exhibited at a space in New York from August 16th through August 23rd.
